9/12/09 – big success for Conservatives
While Barrack Obama was in Minneapolis, the 9/12/09 movement came along calling for all the people to go to DC and join …”The March On Washington”. Reports have fluctuated on how many people attended, who was there and who was not there. Some newspapers estimated only “thousands” but a report in London stated as much as “2 million” attended the March on Washington event. The average estimate made is at a few hundred thousand. People came from all over the country to protest at the President’s doorstep. Surprising, all some media covered the March in a fair and balanced manner and some didn’t report the hundreds of thousands in Washington and neglected to mention the numerous the tea parties held elsewhere across the country.
The HUGE question is, will Washington listen? We the people have spoken so will the government listen? As a founding father put it;
“Government, even in its best state, is but a necessary evil; in its worst state, an intolerable one.” Thomas Paine
Barrack Obama as said in his health care bill that “no people will get in front of you and your doctor”. Well I hope he stays true to his word and his promise. After all, actions speak louder than words, Mr. President.
