An immigrant from Afghanistan who was living in Denver was organizing a bombing in New York City on the eighth anniversary of the 9/11 attacks. Najibullah Zazi, who worked as an airport shuttle driver and was the founder of a coffee cart in New York, was charged this week with conspiring to use deadly weapons of mass extermination against the people of America. The federal government says heĀ  had planned to discharge liquid bombs on subways and trains in New York. Prosecutor Tim Neff told a federal judge in Denver Friday that Zazi wanted to absolve an assailment this past Sept. 11. Zazi had been discontinued by officers on Sept. 10 as he arrived in New York, and he abandoned his plans for an attack once he noticed that law enforcement was right on him. Prosecutors said Zazi acquired explosive devices training from Al Qaeda in Pakistan and retreated to the U.S. bent on building a bomb. You can read the rest of this interesting article here.
